Tony Harewood aka TONE is a versatile film-maker, musician, producer and composer. With a focus on documentation, his warm nature and open approach to collaboration have informed a multitude of independent and commercial creative achievements.

TONE’s work is simultaneously an enjoyment and cathartic process, invoking honesty and acute emotion. His latest collaboration to date is with powerful vocalist Farai. As songwriter, producer and visual artist for the album Rebirth released on Label Big Dada it sees him “channel Joy Divisions’ youthful rage… imposing chords and roughly hewn drums” (Pitchfork).

Contrastingly, he comfortably delves into left-field, electronic pop, with hints of hip-hop and post-punk, and draws on inspiration from his Guyanese and welsh roots mixed with his upbringing in the north of England. Films such as Wim Wenders’ ‘Tokyo-Ga’ and ‘Notebook On Cities And Clothes’ played a big part in his approach to rhythm in his films and music compositions.
